The modern application of hot spring therapy based on medical efficacy has gradually constructed a complete medical system of politics, industry, learning and research in the world, especially in France in Europe, and numerous hot spring medical destinations have emerged. hot spring therapy and a variety of hot spring derivative products have been developed to realize the modern application of hot spring medical efficacy. 

It has a good clinical effect on rheumatism, knee osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, skin diseases, metabolic diseases and postoperative rehabilitation of tumor. 

But so far, the application of hot springs in China mostly stay in the traditional recuperation, leisure and entertainment level, hot spring products are single, the industrial scale is small, the added value is not high, the modern industrial system of hot spring recuperation has not been formed. 

Yunnan is rich in hot spring resources and has great potential for development. under the background of building a "healthy China" and Yunnan striving to create a world-class "healthy life destination", speeding up the transformation and upgrading of the hot spring tourism industry to a healthy and healthy industry ushered in the best opportunity for development. 

For this reason, Hengyi Group has actively explored and tried since 2018, trying to deeply develop Yunnan's unique hot spring resources by setting up a hot spring health industry technology research and development platform with "industry-university-research" integration. Promote the transformation and upgrading of the hot spring industry in our province from hot spring leisure tourism to hot spring recreation (healthy life destination), and promote the cluster development of the hot spring industry.

Yunnan Institute of Science and Technology, Tengchong Hengyi Dongshan Kangyang Tourism Development Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Qianhai Huaou Hot Spring Hotel Management Education Service Co., Ltd., Kunming Medical University, Yunnan University of traditional Chinese Medicine, Yunnan University of nationalities six units jointly applied to establish Yunnan Plateau Hot Spring Recreation Industry Innovation Research Institute. 

Under the guidance of the Department of Science and Technology of Yunnan Province and the Department of Civil Affairs of Yunnan Province, with the puzzled efforts of the preparatory group of the Research Institute and the full support and cooperation of the sponsoring units, the Institute completed the registration at the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs on August 12, 2022.
